While making the City of a Thousand Songs CD we met a Roma singer called Marek Pacan and his friend Mario Sandor, who said that they really wanted to make a film, and did we know anyone who could help? And so with the aid of their talent and friends, the University, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and the filmmaker Gemma Thorpe, we made the film below.

Whlie making the film, we recorded the amazing Roma musicians Marek Pacan and Frantisk Sandor performing five traditional Roma songs tracks to use as the film soundtrack. We didn't end up using them all in the film, but we have made them into a CD.
